“The School of Creativity“ is a project by “Kūrybingumo mokykla”. „Kūrybingumo mokykla“ is an online creativity teaching tool as well as educational content and course creating organization.
It seeks to foster creativity and the importance of innovation in studying as well as teaching. Consequently, it aims to offer a wide supply of easily available educational tools of high quality that supplement as well as provoke conventional ways of teaching.
It was launched in 2017 to bring forward new methods, tools and ways of thinking about creativity and education to both students and teachers. “Kūrybingumo mokykla” began with a 20-video series that set out to expose myths about creativity and creative reasoning with a focus to present various disciplines, taught in schools, in an interdisciplinary approach. This project has been supported by Lithuanian National Television and it’s on its way to the 4th season. Since then it has attracted more than 90,000 viewers across the country.
Created and designed by well-known Lithuanian educators, lecturers and authors Kristupas Sabolius and Tomas Ramanauskas, “Kūrybingumo mokykla“ demonstrates a long-lasting expertise of integrating innovative methodologies in school curricula. By drawing on philosophical, psychological, artistic, scientific and neurobiological interpretations of creativity, showcases the techniques of divergent thinking as tools to acquire and interpret knowledge and to search for the solution to real-world problems.
Due to increasing popularity, “Kūrybingumo mokykla” has continued to host various creativity courses for teachers and students in Lithuanian schools. Also accomplished and is still implementing international projects with other partnering institutions from Finland, Iceland and Norway to create attainable professional development opportunities for teachers and educators. International cooperation, collaboration, and constant process of learning and experience allowed “Kūrybingumo mokykla” to create phenomenon-based learning (PhBL) program and become the leading pilot in Lithuania.
